How much is wedding photography?
Full-day coverage starts from $3,500 – pop an enquiry through the contact page and I’ll send you my full pricing guide.
How do we lock in our date?
A deposit secures your date. You’ll receive a digital contract and invoice through an online portal that also holds all your wedding details. Payment plans are available, just ask.
When will we get our photos?
You’ll have 20–30 sneak peeks the morning after your wedding, and your full online gallery within six to eight weeks. The gallery stays online for 12 months, and I’ll show you how to download and store everything.
Where do you photograph?
I’m based in Canberra and photograph weddings across the ACT and surrounding region – from Pialligo Estate and Brindabella Hills Winery to The Marion, Hotel Realm and the National Gallery. I’m also happy to travel Australia wide, travel costs to be paid by the client.
We’re awkward in front of the camera – is that okay?
Completely normal. With 400+ weddings behind me, I’ll always direct and pose you so you never feel or look awkward, and I’ve got plenty of prompts for the shy and the rambunctious alike.
Do you offer engagement shoots?
Of course, a relaxed 45-minute session. It’s the best way to get comfortable in front of the camera (and with me) before the big day, and you’ll have images for your invitations + RSVP.
Can we add a second photographer?
Yes. A second photographer covers both preparations and the ceremony (two hours), giving you extra coverage and a wider variety of moments.
Do you offer wedding albums?
I design beautiful handcrafted albums which are printed on high-quality paper and made to live on your coffee table. Albums are designed over a couple of weeks, sent to you for approval, then printed within three to four weeks.
When’s the best time for our couple portraits?
Golden hour, just before sunset. Allow 30 minutes to an hour if you can – and if your timeline doesn’t allow it, we can sneak away for 5–10 minutes during the reception.
Do you offer video too?
Yes, a 2–3 minute highlight film, or a full ceremony and speeches recording. Details are on the video page or give me a buzz to chat!
Can we meet before the wedding?
Absolutely, consultations and emails are unlimited. Coffee, a beer or a walk, you decide. We’ll also catch up six weeks out to go through your timeline and run sheet together.
Can we share our photos?
Duh! Share them with family, friends and on social media, just tag @msouthamphoto and please don’t add filters. If a vendor would like to use them, send them my way.
